Where Do You Get YOUR Humor?

Lawyers can get very serious sometimes about their work.  So serious, in fact, that we can forget to appreciate the funny stuff.  Since I monitor a good number of news/blawg RSS feeds via iGoogle, it doesn’t hurt to monitor a few more to make sure I get in a good daily dose of Vitamin H.  (Er… humor.)  As of late, these have been my three biggest sources of side-splitting fun:

Lowering the Bar – A blog who’s tagline is, “Legal Humor. Seriously.”  And they ain’t kidding.  The blogger, Kevin Underhill, is a products liability lawyer out of California.  It’s quite possible he would have found even greater success as a comedian.

The Daily Show – I watched Jon Stewart for the first time about a month ago, and I’m already addicted.  The website posts the episodes for free, and with minimal commercials (about 1/4 of the regular amount).  This makes watching not only convenient, but also possible (I don’t have a television).  Sometimes I even indulge in a Colbert Report if dinner’s taking a while to cook.

The New Yorker – Oh, New Yorker, how do I love thee?  Let me count the ways… David Sedaris, Jack Handey, and (my favorite) George Saunders.  The perfect blend of absurdity and hilarity.  In particular, the recent “My Gal,” about VP nominee Sarah Palin, had me laughing for days.

So, my question to you is — Where do you get YOUR humor?  Legal or otherwise, I’d like to beef up my “Amusing” iGoogle page.  Share the laughs, people.
